Blemmyes (Type II)
No. Enc.: 1d6 (3d6)
Alignment: Neutral
Movement: 120' (40')
Armor Class: 5
Hit Dice: 3+1
Attacks: 1 (Weapon)
Damage: 1d6+1
Save: F4*
Morale: 10
*Blemmyes of this type have no defense against Charm, Hypnosis or Illusions.
Adult Blemmyes of this type stand between 6 and 8 feet tall and are covered by a tough, almost rhino-like hide. Their warriors wear heavy hide chausses and carry a heavy shield into battle. Most prefer heavy morningstars, maces or wickedly-serrated picks. they almost never use missile weapons, presumably due to diminished depth perception.
It is currently unknown how--or what--the Blemmyes eat. It is suspected that they breathe through a series of small pits or pseudo-spiracles that cover their bellies.

A classic, and that's a fine image as well, with a lot of detail to extrapolate.
ReplyDeleteIt helped with Bujilli for sure. The name was very suggestive, but I for one didn't want to guess and potentially cause them even more trouble...
On the subject of the last episode, if anyone wants to second-guess what I've just suggested one post back, go for it.
Thanks! These guys have been in the pile of stuff to get done one of these days for a long time now. I'm slowly working through that pile in-between bouts of drawing new stuff. There are a lot of these things to get done for the various PDFs...
DeleteFeel free to make suggestions--ramping up the danger and trouble for the protagonist is a good thing, so says Lester Dent.
It's about time these got statted. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYeah. I've been pretty slow getting around to some of this stuff. I have six types of Blemmyes illustrated as of today, so I'm making up for it.
