Thanks Porky--I'm enjoying this Challenge immensely. It is helping me to try-out new styles and new things. I'm working on some speed paintings, some cartoony-bits, a watercolor piece and more. The other folks involved in this Challenge are doing some incredible stuff. I was hoping that the Linky-thingy would let me add a list to our entries like what Mr. Brannon did for Monstrous Monday. that worked really well, so that readers could easily and smoothly jump from one to another site. I'll go look over the sign-up post at Creative Everyday again. Maybe I overlooked something...
Hi Whitney--I love working with textures. that is my nuimber one most favorite thing about Artweaver or Photoshop; the way they let me work with textures. This piece came ouot of an old acrylic painting I was doing before we moved into the current apartment. I was doing a sort of impasto-style Van Gogh-type heavy layers of paint sort of thing...but never quite finished it. I was going to collage-in some photograph-bits, but they're gone now. Lot in the move i suspect. In any case I recycled that old painting and this image might work well for a cover image on one of the eBooks I'm working on now...
Brilliant series. For me there's never enough of your work so a whole month of pieces is a proper treat.
