Three-times the size of a typical human warrior, the War-Grubs of Nhor are fearsome opponents. Their large, compound eyes give them a 300-degree field of vision and allow them to see both into the infra-red (Infravision to 90') and to spot normally invisible things (70% chance to See Invisible every round spent looking for a target). They are incredibly sensitive to movement and vibration, but have no way to differentiate colors (they are color-blind), and their hearing is such that normal human speech is uncomfortable, even jarring to them and they cannot discern meaning in spoken words except in Gronk-speak, which they can follow easily.

War-Grubs can use all six of their limbs independently, but can only make 2 attacks at a time unless specially trained and equipped.

One in ten War-Grubs has an INT of 15+ and casts spells as a dual-classed magic-user of a level equivalent to their Hit Dice. Spell-casting War-Grubs do not opt for non-violent spells if they can help it.

War-Grubs have been dosed with a special substance that keeps them stuck in a grub-stage of development over the course of their years of conscripted service. This serum must be re-administered every 6-12 months or the War-Grub will begin to transition into a Pupae-stage. Some form cocoons, a few burrow into the ground to protect themselves during this transition, others have been known to take up temporary residence within surgically-adapted cavities carved out of gargantuan worms or other massive hosts.

It is stated within certain illicit codices that the War-Grubs are not all one species by any means...
