Grim, brooding, taciturn beings from the hot plains of some distant world, the Phorain are mighty warriors possessed of exceptional strength and resolve. The Phorain are incredibly sturdy, enduring incredible deprivations and hardships in order to explore vast tracts of unclaimed wilderness ranging from steppes to pampas, rugged hill countries to rolling grasslands that extend to cold scrublands and encompassing numerous deserts, desolate plateaus and wastelands as well. They have found their way out amongst the planes and can be encountered on any number of worlds or realms, searching for treasures, looking for knowledge, and never backing down from a fight no matter how grim the odds. They can go for weeks without food or water, and are capable of enduring even the harshest, most inhospitable conditions they encounter in the course of their wide-ranging travels across thousands of worlds and planes.

Rarely given to the use of spells themselves, the Phorain seek out magical armor and weapons at every opportunity in order to better prepare themselves to face whatever opponents are awaiting them in their next encounter.

Phorain mercenaries cost double the usual amount, but they never retreat, never surrender and have a habit of taking their orders extremely literally, so they require extra supervision to keep them from going a good bit too far ahead of their employer's regular troops.

They delight in hunting worms and Wyrmics whom they take special delight in devouring alive. They dislike and distrust all serpent people. They are unconvinced that humans are anything special, unless they pay with electrum, the Phorain's favored form of hard currency.

Phorain can advance as Fighters. They have double the carrying capacity noted for their Strength score.
